Intermediate Ceramics - Sat AM

Service Description

Led by experienced instructor Rae, these sessions are perfect for those with previous experience. Come along to the first three weeks of each term to refresh your skills and learn a new, intermediate techniques*, and then stay to work on your own unique projects for the remaining three. Clay, equipment & firing of your work is included. So if you know your way around a pinch pot and have found yourself loving pottery - then we're here for you. Week 1 - Creative glazes - creating our own glazes for the term Week 2 - Fingers. We will each sculpt a finger or two out of terracotta. Week 3 - Sgraffito Bowls - first we will hide coloured clay inside layers of white stoneware, then we will cut back using the sgraffito method to create unique and beautify rainbow sgraffito designed bowls. Week 4 - Solo projects - building Week 5 - Solo projects - refining Week 6 - Solo projects - glazing & finishing week Work will then be available for collection from the 4th November, except for the fingers. I'll get them glazed and ready to be taken home on the last week of term so you can enjoy them at Halloween. *If you really want to work on your own project and don't need my support in doing that, you're welcome to use all 6 weeks for independent projects.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy allows for cancellations up to 7 days before the course start date for a full refund minus any banking fees that were incurred when you booked. In the case of emergency (medical or family) cancellations made within 7 days of the start date may be eligible for a partial refund or credit towards a future course. If we need to cancel your course you'll be offered a place on another course if available at no extra cost, a place on a course in the following term, or a full refund if preferred.
